| Crystal Dynamics splits development team up in two for 'Pillar IP' |
| May 16th, 2010 |

In an interview with NOWGamer
Karl Stewart, Global Brand Director at Crystal Dynamics, part of Square Enix Europe, tells that the Development Studio now has two teams that are
working on Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light and Tomb Raider 9
in a 'Pillar IP' strategy.
Karl Stewart, Global Brand Director at Crystal Dynamics, said: "We felt we needed to take a fresh look at where we were taking the Tomb Raider and Lara Croft IP.
We split the studio up into two groups, One group firmly fixed on building the next big pillar release, which we're not going to detail right now."
On the question on Tomb Raider 9 Karl says: "When we're ready we'll get you guys in. It's exciting. But the other team [LCGOL] was basically focused on creating
something new, creative, trying to push the boundaries and see where we could have some fun with the IP."
