| GK Films hires Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby for Tomb Raider movie reboot |

Today GK Films announced that writing team Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby have been hired to script the
new Tomb Raider movie reboot that is being produced by Graham King and Tim Headington.
Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby are know for writing the scripts for The Iron Man, Children Of Men and Cowboys & Aliens.
GK Films announced the reboot of the Tomb Raider Film franchise in March, with producer Graham King
saying, "We are very excited to be rebooting what is already a hugely successful film franchise and
continuing the Tomb Raider phenomenon."
"Mark and Hawk's clear sensibilities of action and emotion are perfect for the direction we are taking this franchise,"
he adds
"We aim to write an origin story for Lara Croft that solidifies her place alongside Ellen Ripley and Sarah
Connor in the pantheon of great female action heroes," Fergus and Ostby stated.
The Tomb Raider film franchise originally made it to the big screen in 2001's
Lara Croft: Tomb Raider with Angelina
Jolie in the title role, which she reprised for 2003's
Tomb Raider: The Cradle Of Life.
No other details are known, but the new film is expected to be released in 2013.
